PTA Calendar

A half hour DVD slideshow of the History of the 5th Grade Class of 2008 is currently available for $10.  100% of the proceeds go to the CMES PTA for the 5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony.  Please contact Brian Easterday at 301-874-2599 if you would like to purchase a DVD.

The PTA is currently collecting clothes for the next Fall Festival to make scarecrows.  This was a popular event this year and we want to make certain we don't run out of scarecrow clothes next year.  Please donate clothes that are stained, torn, or otherwise cannot be handed down.    

May 5th thru May 9th - Staff Appreciation Week:  The staff of Carroll Manor Elementary School gives so much to the students, so let's give back!!!  This week is our opportunity to thank the  staff for all that they do.  Along with special events being organized for the staff, students will be asked to bring in something special on certain days throughout the week:

Monday, May 5th - Flower Day:  Bring in a flower to show how Carroll Manor teachers and staff help you grow.

Wednesday, May 7th - School Supply Day:  Bring in school supplies to lend your support.

Friday, May 9th - Card Day:  Make a special card for your teachers and staff members , letting them know how much you appreciate them.

May 14th - Mark your calendars for the Scholastic BUY ONE GET ONE FREE Book Fair at CMES.  This special event offers a great opportunity for you to add twice as many books to your child's home or classroom library.  The Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 14th and Thursday, May 15th from 3:00 to 8:00 in the Media Center.  20 to 30 volunteers are needed to work one or two hour shifts.  Please contact Jen Buckberg at jbuckberg@hotmail.com or at 301-874-8392, if you are available to help with the book fair. 

Market Day orders are due on-line by noon at http://www.marketday.com/.  Please use CMES account #:  19519.  Any orders of $75 or more will include a FREE BEACH BAG!  This is the final order for this school year.  Thank you for your support!

May 15th - Second and final day of the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE scholastic bookfair at CMES.  3:00 to 8:00 in the Media Center.

May 20th - Market Day orders can be picked-up in the cafeteria between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm.  Don't forget, any orders of $75 or more will include a FREE BEACH BAG!

May 27th - New PTA Officer Training with the PTA Council of Frederick County, Monocacy Middle School, 7:00pm.

May 30th - CMES Field Day

May 31st - Join us at the Adamstown Carnival Grounds for a Family Fun Day! 4 - 7 pm.  The CMES Staff is ready to challenge you to a kickball game!  Other activities will include a three-legged race, spoon race, water games, crafts and more.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, bakes goods, water and soda will be for sale, so come hungry for dinner!

August 21st - CMES Open House for the '08-'09 school year, 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
