Look what exciting after school classes we have for Spring 2008!

We invite you to participate in the Spring 2008 session of the After School Enrichment Program sponsored by the CMES PTA. All classes begin the week of March 31st and will be held one day per week for a 5 week session. The last session of classes will be the week of April 28th, except for Thursday classes which will end May 8th because there will be no classes held on April 17th. Classes will start at 4:00PM and end at 5:00PM, with the exception of the Tae Kwon Do and Awesome Animals classes. Please note the day, time and fee for each class on the class descriptions below.

Registration forms should be returned to the CMES PTA by February 21st. Checks should be made payable to CMES PTA. A separate check is required for each class you would like to enroll your child in. This process allows us to quickly refund your money if necessary. You will be notified of enrollment. No refunds will be given after the start of the class.

The registration form can be found at the bottom of this web page.

On the first day of class, please remind your child which class they will be attending and not to get on the bus. After School Enrichment Program participants will be dismissed to the cafeteria.. Please send an extra snack for your child to eat while waiting in the cafeteria to be escorted to their enrichment program.

Please be prompt when picking up your child. You should go directly to the program classroom to sign-out your child. There will be volunteers to direct you. When the instructors are ready to leave, they will bring any children who have not been picked up to the cafeteria. There will be parents to monitor the children, but they are not expected to stay longer than 15 minutes after the end of the class. For the safety of the children, they will not be allowed to leave the building without an adult. Your cooperation in this procedure is necessary to ensure the program runs smoothly and safely.

We do not have access to medication after school. If there are any medical conditions such as asthma or food allergies, please note this on the registration form found at the bottom of this web page.

We are pleased to offer this selection of after school activities and would like to thank the instructors who have volunteered to teach them. This program depends mostly on volunteers to run it, teach it and monitor it. If you would like to see different programs offered we would appreciate your suggestions and assistance. Perhaps you have a hobby, craft, sport or interest you would like to share with the children. Please let us know. We are always looking for ideas for classes and instructors.

If you have any questions or would like to help with this program in any way, please contact me at 301-874-0550 or at monning@comcast.net.
